State Rep. Kaitlyn Shake proudly represents Stratford’s 120th District In the Connecticut House of Representatives. Rep. Shake serves as a committee member on Labor and Public Employees, Public Safety and Security and Human Services. 

 

When she ran in 2024, she flipped the 120th District because people in Stratford wanted something different. They wanted someone who would show up, listen, and fight for the working and middle class. They wanted someone who understands what it means to put service above self. In Hartford, Rep. Shake worked on issues to strengthen public safety, support our first responders and veterans, protect public health, strengthen workers’ rights, protect public education and deliver real results for Stratford. 

 

As a proud AFSCME CHCA union nurse, Rep. Shake has spent more than a decade advocating for patients and families when they needed someone in their corner. After serving three terms on the Stratford Town Council and former Democratic Minority Leader, she learned how to invest every dollar and focus on the priorities that matter most to Stratford. On the council, Rep. Shake delivered critical funding for Stratford Public Schools, infrastructure projects and public safety. She has been a champion for public health, fiscal responsibility, and protecting Stratford’s wetlands and green spaces.
